Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Mate collects and why.

What we collect

• Your Google account name, email address and profile picture, to sign you in.
• The name and "about me" text you give your companions.
• Your chat messages, and short facts your companions remember about you.
• Your timezone, so daily limits and streaks follow your day.
• Subscription status from Lemon Squeezy. We never see your card details.

How it's used

Only to run the app: generating replies, remembering context, voice playback, enforcing plan limits and billing. We don't sell your data or use it for ads.

Services we share data with

• Groq: your messages are sent to generate replies.
• ElevenLabs: reply text is sent to generate voice audio.
• Your browser's speech recognition: voice input is processed by your browser vendor (for example Google in Chrome).
• MongoDB Atlas and Vercel: hosting and storage.
• Lemon Squeezy: payments and subscriptions.

Your choices

You can clear a companion's chat or memory, delete a companion, or delete your whole account from Settings. Deleting your account removes your companions, chats and memories.
